PURPOSE: A torque limiter for an electric power steering is provided to maintain a shaft center of an output shaft and an input shaft by simplifying components of the torque limiter as a tolerance ring, a bush and an adaptor. CONSTITUTION: A torque limiter for an electric power steering has a tolerance ring(4); a bush(5) and an adaptor(3). The tolerance ring is inserted to one end of an output shaft(1). The tolerance ring has elasticity toward a radius of the shaft. The bush makes elastic adjustment of the tolerance ring easy by being inserted to an outer peripheral surface of the tolerance ring. The bush has a bore to be operated the elasticity between an inner surface and the output shaft. The adaptor has a fitting groove(20) inside one end. A spline groove is formed inside the other end to be geared with an input shaft(2). Thereby, torque of the input shaft is interrupted by a slip of the bush.
