PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a meter device that can brightly, uniformly, and translucently illuminate almost all the surface of a displaying plate. SOLUTION: This meter device is provided with a circuit board 1, a meter main body 3 which is mounted on the rear surface of the board 1 and has a rotating shaft 2 protruded forward through the board 1, and a pointer 5 which is fixed to the front end side of the shaft 2. This meter device is also provided with the displaying plate 7 which is arranged in the rear of the pointer 5 and has a displaying section 6 corresponding to the motion of the pointer 5, light emitting diodes 8 arranged around the rotating shaft 1 on the surface of the circuit board 1, and a light guiding plate 9 which is arranged in front of the diodes 8 and has an inclined surface 24 provided with a function of emitting light rays emitted from the diodes 8 and made incident from light receiving sections 23 forward and another function of reflecting the light rays toward the peripheral side face 10 of the light guiding plate 9. In addition, this meter device is also provided with a reflecting body 12 arranged between the displaying plate 7 and circuit board 1 and having a reflecting section 11 which reflects the light rays emitted from the peripheral side face of the light guiding plate 9 to the displaying plate 7 side, and a diffusing plate 40 arranged between the displaying plate 7 and light guiding plate 9.
