PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a locking detector being capable of also being applied to an existing key and having high versatility in the locking detector, which has high reliability and durability, can be mass-produced and the cost of which is reduced. SOLUTION: The locking detector is composed of a key holder holding a key by fixing a key head 1Ab for the key holder and sensors detecting the direction of rotation of the key head 1Ab at a time when the key is installed to the key holder and locked by a user and generating a locking signal. The sensors R1 and R4 are mounted to the left and the right of the top face of a hollow inner case 35 for the key holder, and the sensors R2 and R3 are secured to the left and the right of the top face of the hollow inner case 35. The sensor R1 is pushed at the left end of the top face of the key head 1Ab and the sensor R4 at the right end of the underside of the key head 1Ab respectively in the case of a locking, and each resistance value is changed in response to pushing force. Then, a resistance bridge circuit 26 is thrown off, and bridge output voltage displaying the locking is generated.
