PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas atomization nozzle which prevents the nozzle from blocking by a molten metal, by preventing blowing-up of the molten metal by jetted gas and microcirculating of a gas stream. SOLUTION: In a gas atomization nozzle which makes the molten metal down from the molten metal nozzle to powders by jetting a high pressure gas to the metal, the atomization nozzle comprises an annular gas exhaust nozzle 11 for jetting the gas downward, which encircles the outer surface of a lower part of the molten metal nozzle 2, and an annular nozzle aperture 21 for jetting the high pressure gas to the molten metal, which is provided around the gas exhaust nozzle 11 and adjacent to an annular gas supply chamber 22.
