BLUE-GREEN ALGA INHIBITORY GRANULAR MATERIAL FOR LAWN

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blue-green algae inhibitory granular material capable of well performing prevention of growth of blue-green algae in lawn or inhibition of proliferation of the already grown blue-green algae, safe for organism groups in soil of the lawn and holding water absorbency and water holding properties. SOLUTION: This blue-green algae inhibitory granular material is obtained as follows. A zeolite granular material having 1.5 mm average grain diameter is adopted as a porous granular material, placed in a netlike container and dipped in the state in a treating solution prepared by mixing an aqueous solution of zinc hydroxide at 15% concentration with an aqueous solution of hydroxymethyl cellulose at 2% concentration. The resultant granular material is then pulled up after the passage of 3 min. When the solution is not dripped, the granular material is introduced into a fluidized drying furnace and dried. The dipping and drying are repeated again to afford the blue-green algae inhibitory granular material for the lawn.
