PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a facsimile machine capable of automatically adjusting a described position of description items of a report according to the occurrence of contact of characters and overwrite or the like. SOLUTION: When a format section 5 formats a description item of a report stored in a storage section 2 and a print section 6 prints out the report on paper, the facsimile machine 1 revises the description position of the description items on the basis of the number of characters of the description items of the report counted by a count section 4 and the size of paper detected by a paper section 10 so as to prevent contact of the characters of the description items and overwrite or the like and to allow the print section 6 to print out the report on paper. Thus, the degree of freedom of contents of the characters of the description items and the number of characters of the report is increased and the work and working hours are saved to realize the facsimile machine 1 of low cost and excellent usability.
