PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packing device capable of storing an instruction manual therein by means of a simple structure and preventing it from sliding off the packing device. SOLUTION: The packing device is so structured that an outer circumference 2b of side faces of a lower cushioning member 2 on which a product 1 is set is covered with an upper box 7 whose lower portion is opened and that the upper box 7 and the lower cushioning member 2 are tightened with bands 9. In this packing device, an instruction manual 8 for the product 1 is stored in a space A defined between a side face 1a of the product 1 and a side face 7c of the upper box 7. A flanged part 4 protruding farther outward than an outer circumferential surface 7b on the side of a lower end 7a of the upper box 7 is formed to the lower cushioning member 2, and the lower end 7a of the upper box 7 is made to abut against an upper surface of the flanged part 4. Accordingly, the instruction manual can be stored by means of a simple structure by utilizing the space between the side face of the product and the upper box and, with the aid of this checking means, the instruction manual can be prevented from sliding off the packing device and being lost.
