PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure a gap between a front protection glass and a panel, to prevent staining, and to easily secure rigidity. SOLUTION: The unit has a panel main body 10 which has a couple of substrates whose at least front sides are transparent arranged opposite each other so as to form a discharge space between the substrates and also has a plurality of discharge cells, a front frame 11 which constitutes part of a housing containing the panel main body 10 and has an opening part 11a where an image display area on the front side of the panel main body 10 appears, and the front protection glass 13 which is fitted to the opening part 11a of the front frame 11, and a frame-shaped elastic body 18 is arranged between the panel front body 10 and front protection glass 13 along the circumferential part of the image display area.
