<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inform a voice input person that the possibility that a desired recognition candidate can be obtained among voice recognition candidate for an inputted voice is low. SOLUTION: A signal processor 1034 computes the degree of matching showing how much a voice inputted to a microphone 101 matches a recognition object word stored in a storage device 1035 and extracts as recognition candidates a specified number of words to be recognized in the decreasing order of the degree of matching. When an operator selects a desired recognition candidate out of the plurality of recognition candidates by using a wheel 104a of an input device 104, a force assisting the selecting operation is applied to the wheel 104a. The force applied to this wheel 104a is determined according to the degree of matching of the recognition candidate and then the operator can determine from the operation feeling of the wheel 104a whether it is difficult to obtain the desired recognition candidate.</p> |
