PURPOSE: A signal lamp detection system is provided to prevent previously a traffic accident by indicating correctly a flickering state of a signal lamp to a driver. CONSTITUTION: An infrared signal lamp(20) is installed at a halfway line. The infrared signal lamp(20) is used for recognizing a light emitting signal and transmitting the light emitting signal. A signal receiver(22) is used for receiving the transmitted signal from the infrared signal lamp(20). The signal receiver(22) is installed at the inside of the vehicle. A data converter(24) is connected with the signal receiver(22). The data converter(24) is used for converting the received signals to data. An LED indicator(26) is turned on according to the converted data. The LED indicator(26) is installed at a predetermined position of the front direction of a driver.
