PURPOSE: An apparatus for rapid freezing of a side-by-side refrigerator is provided to efficiently install a plurality of rapid freezer compartments in a refrigerator compartment. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus includes a cooler chamber(1) in which an evaporator is installed; a freezer compartment(F) formed on a front side of the cooler compartment as a separate space; a first rapid freezer compartment(20) formed on one side of the freezer compartment as a separate space, and having a first chilled air inlet(31) through which chilled air flows in from the cooler chamber, and a first chilled air outlet(32) through which chilled air heated in the compartment flows out; a first rapid freezer compartment fan(22) mounted on the first chilled air outlet; a second rapid freezer compartment(23) formed as a separate space closely to one side of the first rapid freezer compartment, and having a second chilled air inlet(33) through which chilled air flowing out of the first chilled air outlet flows in; and a second chilled air outlet(34) through which chilled air heated in the compartment flows out; guiding units formed between the first chilled air outlet and the second chilled air inlet to guide inflow of chilled air; an opening and closing unit(130) opening and closing the second chilled air inlet; and a chilled air leakage preventing unit formed between the first chilled air outlet and the second chilled air inlet to prevent leakage of chilled air to an outside of the second chilled air inlet.
