ALTERNATIVE SAWDUST USING PAPER SLUDGE AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: Alternative sawdust is produced out of waste sludge containing a wood ingredient. The alternative sawdust is characterized by having an environment-friendly property, increased productivity and competitiveness in farm industries. The alternative sawdust is useful for carbon source, a moisture modulator and stall covers. CONSTITUTION: The alternative sawdust is obtained by the steps of: modifying waste sludge to have about 60% of moisture content, and milling the waste sludge; drying the waste sludge to have 45% of moisture content; forming the sludge into a pellet or a cube type granule and drying it to have about 30% of moisture content; and cooling the sludge to room temperature, followed by milling it into sawdust size.
