CONSTITUTION: An interelectrode voltage correcting means 109 is provided for correcting an interelectrode voltage equivalent voltage value in accordance with a correction factor increasing in response to increase of discharge quiescent time, and by providing a corrected interelectrode voltage equivalent voltage value outputted from the interelectrode voltage correcting means 109 to a control means 106, a wire electrode 101 and a work piece 102 are relatively moved in accordance with the corrected interelectrode voltage equivalent voltage value.
