PURPOSE: Provided is an apparatus for applying an adhesive onto an outsole of a shoe which applies an adhesive without contamination of the outside of the outsole by the adhesive. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus has a spray nozzle(40) to apply an adhesive along the peripheral of an outsole(10) of a shoe and an working die(1) having separated working zones(5) under the spray nozzle. On the working die, a base jig(20) is installed. The base jig has a supporting piece(22) which places the outsole in a proper position by contacting one surface of the outsole and withdraws, and a protrusion(24) which places the outsole in a proper position by contacting the front (or the rear) of the outsole. The supporting piece of the base jig is advanced or withdrawn by a supporting advancing and withdrawing device. Also, the working die has a moving jig(30) to place the outsole in a proper position by contacting a part of the outsole along the side of the outsole, thereby making the part of the outsole contact with the supporting piece, and a device for moving the moving jig.
