APPARATUS FOR REMOVING RESIDUAL CURRENT FROM STEEL STRIP

PURPOSE: An apparatus for removing residual current from a steel strip is provided to efficiently and stably remove residual current on a steel strip so as to secure the operator's safety, improve quality of the steel strip and productivity. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus comprises a driving roll(3) rotatably supported on a bearing block(11) and driven by a driving motor so as to transfer a steel strip(1) and a driven roll(13) rotatably supported on a bearing block(15) so as to guide the steel strip transferred from the driving roll(3). The apparatus further comprises a conductor contact roll(17) rotatably supported in a bearing on a rotation axle, an idle roll(19) arranged near the contact roll(17) in parallel in a rotatable state by means of a bearing so as to contact the steel strip(1) between the contact roll and the idle roll(17), a contact member having a contact brush which is elastically contacted to on an outer surface of a rotational axle of the contact roll.
