PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-directional input device making four-directional and center push operation possible with an integral operation knob in simple constitution and having an automatic-reset mechanism to the central position. SOLUTION: In order to make four-directional and center push operation possible with the integral operation knob, a switch pushing part is pushed up with a coil spring, and a suitable clearance is formed between a tact switch and the switch pushing part. Thereby, simultaneous push in four-directional and center push operation is prevented. A base fulcrum is installed at the same height and in a ring shape in a base, a shaft and the tip of a base fulcrum are contacted on flat surfaces, and closely adhered with the coil spring to automatically horizontally reset the operation knob. Furthermore, a pin installed in the base is inserted into the groove of a rib installed in a knob base to prevent rotation and to regulate the position in the horizontal direction, and the operation knob is automatically reset in the neutral position.
