摘要 PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for diagnosing a mold oscillation characteristic are provided to improve quality of a slab by measuring an oscillation value of a mold and comparing the oscillation value with a reference value. CONSTITUTION: A mold oscillation diagnosing apparatus includes a motor(610) for rotating a sensor section attached to a supporter installed in each edge of a mold. A rotary link(611) is provided to prevent the sensor section from being broken when the mold moves upwards. The sensor section is attached to a sensor fixing arm(608). A non-contact type displacement sensor(607) is attached to the sensor fixing arm(608). The non-contact type displacement sensor(607) detects oscillation by measuring an interval between the sensor section and the mold when the mold moves upwards. An inductive sensor(609) is attached to the sensor fixing arm(608). The inductive sensor(609) measures an interval between a caster and the sensor fixing arm(608) in order to prevent the sensor fixing arm(608) from making contact with the caster.
