PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a repairing method with satisfactory workability, which surely prevents a repairing material from flowing into the top surface of a tuyere plug of a molten metal furnace. SOLUTION: This repairing method comprises covering the top surface of the plug 5 with a cap holder 10, when repairing the tuyere 3, so as to prevent the repairing material 8 from flowing into a gas blowing nozzle in the top surface of the tuyere plug 5, or into gas permeable brick, even if the repairing material 8 is charged in a hearth 2 from above; and removing the cap holder 10 after repairing. Then, the method does not waste the cap holder 10, and can reduce a cost of the tuyere plug itself. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
