PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a quick drying property-imparting agent effectively improving the surface and imparting an excellent quick-drying property. SOLUTION: This quick drying property-imparting agent contains a cationic copolymer having a cationic structural part derived from at least one of cationic monomers represented by general formulas (1) and (2), and an alkylene oxide group-containing structural part derived from a monomer containing an alkylene oxide group represented by general formula (3): CH<SB>2</SB>=C(R<SB>7</SB>)COO-(C<SB>n</SB>H<SB>2n</SB>O)<SB>m</SB>-R<SB>8</SB>(3) (in the formulas, R<SB>1</SB>and R<SB>7</SB>are each a hydrogen atom or a 1-4C alkyl group; R<SB>2</SB>to R<SB>6</SB>are each a 1-4C alkyl group; X<SB>1</SB>, X<SB>2</SB>and X<SB>3</SB>are each a 2-4C alkylene group; M<SP>-</SP>is an anionic counter ion; R<SB>8</SB>is a 1-4C alkyl group or a phenyl group; n is an integer of 2-4; and m is 2-50).
