METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR CONFIRMING OPENED OR CLOSED STATE OF SMALL LID OF COKE OVEN

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus by which the opened or closed state of a small lid of a coke oven can accurately be confirmed to contribute to safe operation of the coke oven. SOLUTION: This apparatus for confirming the opened or closed state of the small lid comprises a length measuring cylinder 3 and a measuring arm 4 pivoted on a frame 2 of a pusher 1 of the coke oven and mutually connected. A distance B from a starting point 10 to a seat surface of the small lid of the coke oven and a distance A from the starting point 10 to a small lid arm are measured with the length measuring cylinder 3 and the measuring arm 4 to judge the opened or closed state of the small lid based on both the measured values.
