PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that since the length of a conventional card printer device 1 is too short, in many cases, it is difficult to manually insert a card into the drive rollers of a carrying means driven so as to send the card at a specified feed rate to a printing head 11 without causing misregistration in the right and left direction in relation to the print head 11, and once a card is displacedly supplied, the card is supplied to a print section in a displaced state, causing defective printing such as displaced printing. SOLUTION: This printer 1 is provided with a conveying tray 4 containing a holding section 41 for holding a card C, and conveyance means 13 and 14 for conveying the conveying tray 4 at a specified feed rate to the printing head 11. A set position for setting a card-like article to be printed to the holding section 41 and a discharge position for discharging the card-like printed article are arranged upstream and downstream of the print head 11, respectively.
