PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently perform sealing for pores of a sintered compact or the like with wax by a method of dipping into a wax liquid. SOLUTION: A metallic body having pores is preheated preferably to the temperature of a wax liquid higher, and is dipped into a wax liquid, so that the solidification of max surface layer part of the metallic body is prevented to improve the impregnation properties of the wax.
