FIELD: removing oil products from surface of water. SUBSTANCE: proposed oil skimmer includes drum with belt in form of closed loop and device for removing oil products from belt. Said device is made in form of cylinder whose axis is parallel to axis of drum. Oil skimmer is provided with intake chute installed lower than cylinder. Outer surface of belt is porous or fibrous. Cylinder is made hollow, with perforated side wall and is installed lower than drum with engagement of downward section of belt with cylinder. Axis of cylinder is displaced relative to axis of drum in horizontal towards side of upward section of belt through distance not exceeding radius of drum.
