There is disclosed a bracket for fixing a first member to a second member in a structure, the bracket comprising first and second walls, the first wall being at right angles to the second wall and having one or more openings therethrough, whereby the bracket can be installed with another such bracket such that there is formed an assembly in which the first walls of the two brackets overlap and at least one said opening through the first wall of one bracket aligns with a respective said opening through the first wall of the other bracket, at least one fastener passes through a respective pair of aligned openings whereby the first walls are secured together, and either: the second walls project in the same direction and are rotationally offset from each other about an axis perpendicular to the first wall and fixed against one of the members, and the first walls are connected to the other member via the fastener(s); or the second walls project in opposite directions and are fixed against respective ones of the members. |
