PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine controller capable of improving a fuel consumption when driving a supercharged engine in a low load range. SOLUTION: In the supercharged engine where lean burning is carried out, knocking is hard to occur so that an intercooler IC is not needed to cool excessively, and an intake temperature is increased by stopping cooling of the intercooler IC under a low load. A minimum value of fuel required for burning lowers by increasing the intake temperature so that burning can be carried out with further less fuel and the fuel consumption can be improved.
