PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical information recording medium on which recording is carried out in a best state irrespective of the kind of an optical disk. SOLUTION: Since the recording strategy of an optical disk is different depending on a material or a manufacturing method, an optimal recording strategy is prerecorded by recording it on an optical disk itself by prerecording, i.e., adding a format indicating how the recording strategy of the optical disk is recorded in an area used for eliminating illegal copying, in a control data zone 32, especially in a physical format information area 36 before the shipping of the optical disk. Thus, recording is carried out by the optimal recording strategy of own optical disk 10, heat accumulation on the optical disk is reduced, and a good recording/reproducing RF signal is obtained.
