PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the acquisition time of a session information. SOLUTION: When a session is closed, the latest TOC Blocks are added (Step A1). When a disk is set to be not recordable so that data cannot be recorded aftertime, whether an unused area exists in a TOC Zone is decided. Then, the latest TOC Blocks are recorded (step A4) when there exists the unused area. A process is completed when the unused area is not left by recording the latest TOC Blocks (step A3).
