摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration damping structure for a building that is effective in reducing a earthquake response of a building by reducing base shear and each story shear more than a conventional model in a range of an input level causing lifting without using a special material or device, reducing an amplification degree even in a range of an input level largely amplifying top part displacement, and reducing first floor vertical acceleration. SOLUTION: In construction of the building, before plasticization of an erection, a base plate is intentionally yielded, lifting is generated, earthquake input is limited, and a dead load of the building itself is used as restoring force in lifting.
