PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring instrument whose costs are reduced by reducing the number of components and the number of assembling operations in such a way that large components are integrated. SOLUTION: The measuring instrument is provided with a dial 23 having a region for turning a pointer 22 on the surface side of a case 21; a colored facing plate 26 used to hide a peripheral edge part of the dial 23; and a transparent front cover 27 used to cover the surface of the dial 23. The front cover 27, the facing plate 26 and the dial 23 are integrated. When three large components as the front cover 27, the facing plate 26 and the dial 23 are integrated, the costs of the measuring instrument are reduced by reducing the number of components and by reducing the number of assembling operations.
