PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To deodorize and sterilize water supplied to an ice making pan in an ice making device incorporated into a refrigerator. SOLUTION: This ice making device has a water supply tank 1 arranged in a refrigerating room 16, an ice maker 10, and an ice storage box 4 arranged in a freezing room 17. Water is supplied to the ice making pan 2 of the ice maker 10 via a water supply pipe 3 from the water supply tank 1. The water supply pipe 3 is formed of a member for passing an ultraviolet ray, and a photocatalyst layer is arranged on the inside surface. The photocatalyst layer is formed on the inside surface of the water supply pipe 3 via a proper binder by a spraying or applying means by carrying a photocatalyst on an adsorbent such as zeolite. An ultraviolet lamp 6 is arranged in the vicinity of the water supply pipe 3 along the water supply pipe 3. When supplying the water to the ice making pan 2 from the water supply tank 1, the ultraviolet ray is irradiated to the water supply pipe 3 by turning on the ultraviolet lamp 6 to activate the photocatalyst of the photocatalyst layer. The water passing through the water supply pipe 3 is deodorized by the activated photocatalyst, and various bacteria mixed in the water are sterilized by the sterilizing action of the ultraviolet ray.
