PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel battery system capable of achieving high reliability.SOLUTION: A fuel cell includes a flat plate type cell configured by sandwiching electrolyte between a fuel electrode and an air electrode, a flat plate type first separator arranged on the fuel electrode side, and a flat plate arranged on the air electrode side. The first separator includes an inlet manifold to which fuel gas is supplied, an outlet manifold through which the fuel gas is discharged, a first flow path portion which is formed on a main surface on a side in contact with the fuel electrode and intercommunicates with the inlet manifold on one end side thereof and through which the fuel gas supplied from the inlet manifold flows, a gas merging portion for joining the fuel gas flowing through the first flow path portion, and a second flow path portion which is formed on the main surface, arranged in parallel to the first flow path portion and communicates with the outlet manifold at an end portion thereof on the same side as the one end portion of the first flow path portion through which the fuel gas joined at the gas merging portion flows to the outlet manifold. The flow path cross-sectional area of the second flow path portion is smaller than the flow path cross-sectional area of the first flow path portion.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
