PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle management system and a vehicle management method that improve the availability factor of a vehicle.SOLUTION: A vehicle management system for managing reservation for a vehicle used by a plurality of users comprises: a communication unit for communicating with a terminal operated by a user; a recording unit for recording information on the reservation for the vehicle; and a reservation management unit for managing the reservation for the vehicle by accepting the reservation for the vehicle on the basis of reservation information on the vehicle input by the terminal via the communication unit and recording the accepted reservation information in the recording unit. The reservation information includes information on a use time indicating a time the vehicle is used and information on a change permissible range indicating a range in which the use time can be changed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
