摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a voltage regulator capable of suppressing reduction in an internal power source voltage accompanied with load fluctuations of an internal circuit immediately after transition from a standby mode to an active mode, a semiconductor device, and a voltage generation method of the voltage regulator.SOLUTION: The voltage regulator comprises: a drive voltage generation unit 18 generating a drive voltage and applying it to a drive line; an output transistor 14 outputting a voltage according to a voltage value of the drive line as internal power source voltage; and a forced drive circuit that includes a capacitor element P7 receiving the power source voltage at one end, a first switching element N5 receiving a ground voltage, coming into an ON state across a standby mode, and applying the ground voltage to the other end of the capacitor element, and includes a second switching element P6 coming into the ON state for only a prescribed period upon transition of the operation mode from the standby mode to the active mode, and connecting the other end of the capacitor element to the drive line.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
