PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a phenol resin composition having excellent heat resistance and water resistance, and good flexibility. SOLUTION: This phenol resin composition comprises (a) a phenol resin obtained by reacting phenols, aldehydes, an aromatic amine and xylylene glycol or a derivative thereof, (b) an addition-type silicone gel as essential components. The addition-type silicone gel (b) preferably has 10-300 penetration (JIS K 2530-1976-50 g-weight). The contents of the aromatic amine and, the xylylene glycol or the derivative thereof are preferably 2-100 pts.wt. and 10-170 pts.wt. respectively based on 100 pts.wt. phenols. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
