PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an aqueous acrylic-polyurethane- based resin, capable of shortening a time required for producing the resin, simultaneously capable of saving its production cost by controlling warming of the aqueous resin at a low temperature, capable of giving good appearance to the aqueous resin, and further capable giving stable viscosity to the aqueous resin by reducing an amount of a residual solvent. SOLUTION: This method for producing the aqueous acrylic-polyurethane- based resin comprises dispersing a hydrophilic acrylic-polyurethane-based copolymer which is synthesized in a hydrophilic organic solvent having a boiling point of <100°C in water to form an aqueous dispersion, and finally removing the hydrophilic organic solvent in the aqueous dispersion, wherein the hydrophilic organic solvent is removed from the aqueous dispersion by setting degrees of constant vacuum to three or more stages, while keeping a temperature of the aqueous dispersion at 50°C or lower.
