PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a titanium salt which has a characteristic that the titanium salt can suitably and stably be dispersed or dissolved in both an oily phase and an aqueous phase, can further be used as a raw material for producing various titanium-containing materials, and also as a catalyst effective for various reactions, and can be used as an amphiphilic substance whose amphiphilic characteristic can arbitrarily be controlled in response to purposes. SOLUTION: This phosphate diester titanium salt represented by general formula [I] [R<SP>1</SP>and R<SP>2</SP>are each identically or differentially a 1 to 30C hydrocarbon group which may contain a heterogeneous element; (n) is an integer of 1 to 4].
