PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hairdye composition having excellent light resistance and dyeing. SOLUTION: The hairdye composition contains (a) N,N-bis(2-hydroxyethyl)-p- phenylenediamine or a salt thereof, (b) p-phenylenediamine or a salt thereof, and (c) at least one kind selected from the group consisting of p-aminophenol, 2-chloro-p-phenylenediamine, p-amino-o-cresol, m-aminophenol, resorcin, p- methylaminophenol, 4-nitro-o-phenylenediamine, 2-nitro-p-phenylenediamine, picramic acid, 5-(2-hydroxyethylamino)-2-methylphenol, 1-amino-4- methylanthraquinone, 1,4-diaminoanthraquinone and a salt thereof.
