ALICYCLIC DIESTERS DEVELOPING MITE-PROOFING EFFECT AND FIBER AND FIBER STRUCTURE CONTAINING THE ALICYCLIC DIESTERS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for stably developing mite-proofing effect at a low concentration for a long period of time in fibers by kneading a resin with a mite-proofing compound which is water-insoluble, and has properties of excellent compatibility with a thermoplastic resin to be melt-molded and excellent weather resistance. SOLUTION: The fiber has repellency by using at least one kind of alicyclic diesters represented by general formula (1) [R1is hydrogen, a 1-6C straight-chain or branched alkyl group, a chlorine atom, a 1-5C straight-chain or branched alkoxy group or a phenyl group; R2and R3are each the same or different and is a 1-12C straight-chain or branched alkyl group or a 6-10C cycloalkyl group] and represented by general formula (2) [R1, R2and R3are each as shown for general formula (1)] of the mite-proofing compounds. The fiber structure is obtained by adding 0.01-5.0 mass % of the mite-proofing compound to 100 mass parts wt. of a fiber. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
