PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photoprinter control method with which photographing or editing can be performed to the extent of a user's satisfaction, in a photoprinter which allows the user to take a photograph and output a photograph as a photoprint after compositing it with a background image or a scribbling image. SOLUTION: When the remaining time of a photographing time limit becomes short while the user performs photographing, the photographing time limit is extended by collecting additional charges from the user. Similarly, when the remaining time of an editing time limit becomes short while the user performs editing, the editing time limit is extended by collecting additional charges from the user.
