SURFACE-MOUNTING TYPE COIL COMPONENT AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface-mounting type coil component in which a winding wound around a ferrite core is well bonded to an electrode piece fitted with the ferrite core by thermo compression bonding. SOLUTION: An electrode piece 20 fitted with a periphery of a ferrite core 10 is so supported that at least a base end side 22a of a lower bent part 22 of the piece 20 is positioned in deformable manner at a recessed part 17 of a support table 16. A overlapped part where a wire terminal 14 from a winding 12 wound around the core 10 is overlapped on an upper bent part 21 of the electrode piece 20 is heated and pressed by a heating member 18. An excess portion of the electrode piece 20 caused by a clearance between the piece 20 and the core 10 is absorbed by a deformation of the lower bent part 22 of the electrode piece 20. Thereby the bent part 21 is evenly buckled without getting out in the winding 12 direction, and thermo-compression-bonded to the wire terminal 14 for joining. The base end side 22a of the lower bent part 22 is separated from a bottom surface of the core 10, and a tip side 22b is in contact with the bottom surface of the core 10. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
