PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily discriminate the state of electronic equipment even from a place separated from the electronic equipment. SOLUTION: When a printer is started to complete initial setting, LED which is the back light of a liquid crystal panel is lighted green (S21). In an error state that the printer cannot print, or in the case that the printer can print but is not in a normal alarm state, LED is lighted green as it is (S22: No). When the printer is in an alarm state, LED is lighted yellow (S23). When the printer is in the error state, LED is lighted red (S25). LED is lighted as it is until each state can be dissolved, and when the error or alarm state is dissolved, LED is lighted green again (S24 and S26). COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
