PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data transmitter/data receiver capable of suppressing communication traffic. SOLUTION: At receiving a transmission request RQ of device information from a computer 50, an MFP 10 acquires the device information of the MFP 10, and generates XML data BD. Then, a transmission part 161 of an MFP 10 transmits both XML data BD specifying the contents themselves of the device information and a style sheet SD specifying the display format of the data information at first transmission, and transmits only the XML data BD of the both data BD and SD at updating and transmitting the device information. The computer 50 stores the style data SD transmitted at first transmission in a style data storing part 63, and shapes the XML data BD transmitted for updating the device information by using the stored style data SD, and displays the data BD at a display part 55.
