PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a flame-retardant thermoplastic resin composition which has excellent mechanical strength, flame retardance and heat resistance in a resin composition comprising a thermoplastic resin, a flame retardant and one or more kinds of inorganic compounds represented by general formula (1) M<SB>a</SB>M'<SB>b</SB>O<SB>c</SB>(OH)<SB>d</SB>(1) (M and M' are each an arbitrary metal atom; a, c and d are each an arbitrary number not being 0; b is a number including 0). SOLUTION: The thermoplastic resin composition comprises 100 parts wt. of a thermoplastic resin, ≥0.0001 part wt. and <30 parts wt. of at least one flame retardant and ≥0.005 part wt. and <50 parts wt. of one or more kinds of inorganic compounds represented by general formula (1) M<SB>a</SB>M'<SB>b</SB>O<SB>c</SB>(OH)<SB>d</SB>(1) (M and M' are each an arbitrary metal atom; a, c and d are each an arbitrary number except 0; b is a number including 0).
