PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To arbitrarily reedit and redistribute a WWW document with a service embedded therein. SOLUTION: An object oriented intelligent pad technique is used to extract an optional part of a web document and a pad wrapper wraps the optional part. A periodic server access function is incorporated in a wrap of a dynamic web document part to configure an object called a view pad having an automatic periodic refresh function.
