PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a display performance during setting of documents on a document presentation apparatus. SOLUTION: Based upon a change in the luminance of image data picked up by an image pickup part 20, a microcomputer 30 of the document presentation apparatus 10 detects a motion of an object by using a motion detecting part 23. When it is detected that the object is moving, transfer of image data to an image output part 24 is inhibited by using an output control part 25. Thus, image data just before the detection of the motion are held in an output image storage part 26 in the image output part 24 such that during setting of the documents, the situation is not displayed on an external display device.
