PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a used fuel cask excellent in a heat transfer function compared with the conventional one and capable of suppressing increase in mass and diameter while maintaining strength keeping structural soundness and a critical prevention function, and a basket thereof.SOLUTION: A used fuel cask is constituted to provide a cylindrical used fuel cask basket 16 stored in a used fuel cask body and for storing a plurality of used fuels in a subcritical state. The used fuel cask basket 16 comprises: a superimposed frame plate 24 formed by superimposing a steel sheet being a strength member including a neutron absorber and an alloy plate being a heat transfer member; a basket lattice 17 formed by intersecting and laminating the superimposed frame plates 24 in longitudinal and lateral directions; and an alloy heat transfer plate 21 being a heat transfer member and installed in the outer edge part of the basket lattice 17.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
