PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for dynamically setting at least one threshold at an access point in a wireless local area network. SOLUTION: The access point detects the strength of a signal received from other access point, establishes a carrier detection threshold based on the received signal strength of at least one detected signal by using a predetermined criterion, thereafter establishes a defer threshold and a roaming threshold, and broadcasts their communication parameters to a network station.
