PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an articulated grinding wheel cutter grinding machine for speedily polishing one or both surfaces of a cutter without involving the cutter, even in polishing by hand gripping of the cutter and engagement of a blade surface to a grinding wheel disk rotated by a motor, evenly grinding the blade surface and reducing size and weight of a main body. SOLUTION: Two rotating motors are arranged side by side. A rotary shaft linked to one motor on a pedestal is journaled by two pillow blocks. Two sheets of grinding wheel disks are mounted in front of the rotary shaft. The other motor is also on the pedestal, the rotary shaft is journaled by two pillow blocks, two sheets of grinding wheel disks are mounted in front of the rotary shaft. Each two sheets of the left and right grinding wheel disks are provided at prescribed positions alternatively adjacent in front and rear directions. The one motor is rotated in an opposite direction and the blade surface can be polished by engagement of the surface to the left and right grinding wheel disks of different rotating directions. A worm gear with a manual handle at a side end of the grinding machine is inserted between the two pillow blocks of the pedestal with the one motor. A movable nut is screwed into the worm gear for attachment to the pedestal. The pedestal is operated in left and right directions to rotation of the manual handle. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
