PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery capable of reducing connection resistance between electrode plates and current collection parts in an electrode plate group, and free from malfunctions in the current collection parts even if receiving vibration or a shock. SOLUTION: A strip-like positive electrode plate 2 and a negative electrode plate 3 are laminated and wound through a separator 4. The electrode plate group 1, which has projecting ends formed by projecting current collection core materials 2a and 3a of the positive electrode plate 2 and the negative electrode plate 3 so as to oppose each other in the winding axial direction, is contained in an encapsulating case 12 together with an electrolyte. Conductive strip-like members 8 and 10 are positioned between the current collection core material 2a and 2a and between 3a and 3a of the projecting ends. Ends of the current collection core materials 2a, 3a and the strip-like members 8, 10 integrally form the plate type positive and negative current collection parts 9, 11. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
