PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a driver required not always to monitor a predicted arrival time. SOLUTION: In this on-vehicle navigation system for retrieving a route from the present position found by a present position calculating part up to a destination on a map input by an input device to display the guide route on a display, a desired arrival time to the destination is set, the predicted arrival time to the destination is calculated based on a kind of a road of the guide route, a distance thereof or information from an outside, and the user is informed of delay in the arrival time when the predicted arrival time is lagged from the desired arrival time.
